The FOSSIL FARM Story

Bay Area based Fossil Farm has been entertaining  audiences with a fun and lively assortment of classic, folk, and alt-rock music for over a decade. The group puts their own modern spin on music from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Byrds, Lumineers, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Chris Isaak, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Traveling Wilburys, and more.

The band began as a collaboration of musical ideas between Drew Morrish, a British pub-band rocker, and Rich Fassler, a part of the 60’s East Bay garage band scene. The two met by chance in 2004 and discovered they shared the same musical interests and style, despite growing up over 5,000 miles apart. They quickly formed Fossil Farm with the help of local musicians Derek Kroes, Greg Deckrow, and Paul Ybarra, and began playing south bay gigs, including local pubs and clubs, private parties, the American Cancer Society fundraising events, the San Jose Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon, and others.

The latest iteration of the band includes:

Drew Morrish - 12-string guitar & vocals

Bruce Scott - drums & vocals

Hans Muller - bass guitar & vocals

Bob Megantz - electric guitar
